Web Access is a feature of freedom. Using the web access feature on many of our business software programs including Express Invoice invoicing software, Express Accounts bookkeeping software or Inventoria inventory management software allows businesses to provide multiple users with access to the program's data and features. Users can log in remotely from other computers or mobile devices with internet access. So you can update inventory levels from the warehouse or send an invoice while on road. So you don't need to be chained to your desk to get things done, a freedom many small business owners can appreciate.

Web access isn't limited to business products; with DesktopNow you can also set up easy access to your home PC computer so you can have access to all your files, plus desktop viewing and control, when you are away from home. So you don't have to worry about forgetting a file on a flash drive, if you don't have something you need you can simply log into your computer from wherever you are to upload or download files from your home machine. First NCH Software Android App

Those of you with Android devices won't want to miss our first android app, TempoPerfect, now available as a free app on Google Play. TempoPerfect is a free metronome app for musicians, providing a clear and precise beat that is also available for Windows and iPhone users, making it easy to always have a metronome on hand for reference from practicing your guitar at home to a jam session with your garage band.

This is just the beginning of our Android plans, so stay on the lookout for more apps in the coming months including the long awaited Pocket Dictate and WavePad audio editor which is popular on any platform.

How to overcome your fear of port forwarding

When I was tasked with creating a tutorial series for configuring server-based software applications, my throat did a big cartoon-gulp�especially when I started reviewing all the problems a user could face when setting up their software. Port forwarding not only sounded like something from a Star Trek episode, but something you needed an engineering genius like Scotty to figure out. But then, bit by bit, it started making sense, and now I�m confident that with a little help, it will make sense for all of you, too.

The most important thing to understand is that the problem isn�t necessarily the software you�re using. It�s probably your router, firewall, IP address, or some combination of these, and it is going to take some time to figure it all out. But if you�re set on streaming video of your attempt to jump your bike over three cars, two buses, a clown and a flock of geese, it�s worth the effort, right?
